Choose from MotionBlinds & Eve MotionBlinds smart blinds systems

Currently, we offer two different Smart Blind systems to use on your new Smart Roller Blinds, you can choose from our standard ‘MotionBlinds’ Smart Blinds system or the premium ‘Eve MotionBlinds’ Smart Blinds system. Both offer a great deal of utility and can be integrated into your smart home ecosystem or controlled via an app.

MotionBlinds System:

The standard MotionBlinds system we offer has two control options for you to use: the MotionBlinds app (via Bluetooth), or Smart Home Integration with a MotionBlinds Wi-Fi bridge.
The MotionBlinds app will work on any modern smartphone and can be set up in less than a minute by downloading the app, then scanning the setup code on the blind to connect it via Bluetooth to the app. Once set up, you can remotely control the app via your smartphone up to 10 meters away!
By using the Bluetooth control you secure your privacy as no data will leave your home, as the blind is controlled directly by Bluetooth. You can also set up to 3 different programming timers to set schedules for your Smart Blinds!
The MotionBlinds Wi-Fi Bridge option allows you to use a Wi-Fi bridge to integrate your Smart Blinds into your home’s existing smart ecosystem. Once you have registered and connected your Wi-Fi bridge (sold separately) you’ll be able to operate and program your blinds via your existing smart home technology

Eve MotionBlinds System:

Right away, you can use Bluetooth control or a Wi-Fi bridge to control your Eve MotionBlinds, but looking further there are more options for how you control your Smart Blinds. Our Eve MotionBlinds will seamlessly work with Apple HomeKit technology, without any need for a Wi-Fi bridge or any cloud dependency!
Our Eve MotionBlinds are also supported by Thread, a new technology specifically developed for smart home applications to improve connectivity between devices – Thread will also work with Matter! Matter is an industry-unifying smart home standard, pioneered by over 200 of the world’s biggest tech companies to ensure that smart home technology from different companies can work in unison, allowing integration with all the prominent smart home systems on the market!

Quick smart blinds set up

Both our standard MotionBlinds and the more snazzy Eve MotionBlinds will be usable out of the box thanks to their manual pull cord, and can be set up incredibly quickly if you want to use the smart features! If you opt to use the Bluetooth MotionBlinds app to control your blinds, you can completely set up your blinds in less than a minute.
When using our Eve MotionBlinds you can seamlessly connect them to your Apple HomeKit technology right out of the gate for an easy set up, or if you choose to use the Thread system you can quickly set up and connect your new Smart Blinds to your existing smart home eco-system.

Fabric choices

Here at DotcomBlinds, we have hundreds of fabric choices for your home’s new Smart Blinds, allowing you to find a blind fabric that perfectly suites your shading needs. We offer Blackout Fabrics for keeping spaces dark, Dimout Fabrics to provide shade and dampen outside light and Screen Fabrics to provide shade while keeping a room nice and bright.
Beyond the actual fabric types, we have a wide range of unique coloured fabrics for you to choose from, allowing you to easily match your new Smart Blinds system to your home’s existing décor!

Other roller blind options

If you’re looking for a roller blind with a bit more utility than a standard roller blind, we offer a few other varieties of made to measure roller blinds each with their own benefits:
- Standard Roller Blinds, these don’t need much explanation, these are your standard roller blinds with manual control, ideal for quickly creating shade.
- Double Roller Blinds, these blinds are made out of a blackout blind and dimout blind connected to a double bracket, making them ideal for multipurpose rooms and spare bedrooms.
- Cassette ‘Total Blackout’ Roller Blinds, these are blackout roller blinds which come with a cassette and side channel system to completely block out outside light, making them ideal for bedrooms and home cinemas.
- Electric Roller Blinds, these snazzy roller blinds are controlled via remote control rather than being operated manually, which makes these blinds excellent in high-tech homes, hard to reach windows or for those with mobility issues.

Measuring, installing & setting up your new smart blinds

FREE fabric samples

Before buying made to measure Smart Blinds, we recommend that you order some FREE fabric samples to see how the fabric of the Smart Blind will look and feel up close. With your FREE samples, you’ll be able to easily colour match your new Smart Blind to the room’s furniture, investigate it’s light filtering properties and ensure that your new blind will do what you want it to. We find ordering & three to five different samples is an ideal option as you can have see different options in the comfort of your own home without becoming overwhelmed with choices! Of course, all samples are free so if you want to order more then please do.
